Terminator Salvation

Terminator Salvation isn't really a bad game, it's just so darn short! So, I will be writing a short but sweet review. This game can be finished in about 4 hours. Seriously. Even on the hardest difficulty.

If you want some easy achievements, rent this game. If you play through the entire game on Hard difficulty, and finish it. You will unlock all of the achievements. The gameplay basically consists of taking cover from enemy Skynet machines and then shooting at them until they explode. There are only 9 stages in the whole game, and they are all short. You play as John Connor, resistance leader and fighter, and there are a myriad of different machines to fight against. The graphics are one of the best things this game has going for it. The characters and machines all look life-like. The explosions are beautiful and you will really take notice while playing. I like the presentation of Terminator Salvation a lot, mostly because it looks like the movies, and it isn't some ugly jpeg screen in the background the developers could have easily put on there. However, because the game only offers on foot running around and taking cover and shooting, and it's all so amazingly linear, this game might get boring quick for some. It is extremely repetitive. I know I got bored, but before I realized it, I had beaten the game. Twice.

Rent it if you like Terminator, or enjoyed the 'Terminator Salvation' movie. Otherwise, just play something else.

Graphics- 9.1 out of 10
Sound and Music- 8 out of 10
Gameplay- 5.1 out of 10
Presentation- 6.9 out of 10

Overall- 5.5 out of 10
