Impossible Mission

In 1984 Epyx released this game from game programmer Dennis Caswell. This review is for the Commodore 64 version.

It begins with a man in an elevator. You play as a secret agent on a mission to stop the mad professor. You must go to multiple rooms and search for clues. Robots try to stop you in each room. Time is running out, you must complete the game before it is too late. Ten minuets is subtracted each time you die.

The game play is simple yet difficult. You can jump, run and search. Some items can be found in computers (robot Zzz) that have the ability to stop robots. The pieces that are found are puzzling. Their is no music in this game. The sound effects really stand out. The voice of the evil professor can be heard at times. This game is really hard. There are so many rooms to search. The clues are also difficult to figure out once you get them.

Overall I like this game. It is very challenging but not impossible. If you like long puzzle games then you will probably like this game.
